Prof. Heiner Boettger
I’m a Professor of English Didactics at the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt. Before my university career I was a teacher at several schools in Southern Germany. My present research mainly focuses on early language acquisition, neurodidactics, and the preconditions for plurilingualism. I explore how children develop communicative competences; which language strategies they use when; what brain processes underlie language development; and what are the jigsaw pieces for acquiring three or more languages.
