Tags: Chief Corporate Communication Officer, Corporate PR, Internal Communication, triathlon, tennis, Iron ManAs the adidas Group’s Chief Corporate Communication Officer, I direct its Corporate PR and Internal Communication efforts and I oversee the PR activities for all its brands. In 1991, I joined the adidas family, working in the German Public Relations team. So I am sort of an adidas veteran. I have been an avid athlete and sports fan all my life. One thing I enjoy most about my job is that I have the pleasure and opportunity to work at all the big sport events and meet many fantastic athletes. I have been to my first Olympic Games in 1992 in Barcelona and to all Olympic Games since then. Same goes for all FIFA World Cups since 1994.In terms of being an athlete myself, tennis and triathlon are my clear favorites. Long, long time ago I completed an “Iron Man”. Today, I enjoy playing tennis with my team mates at 1. FC Nuremberg or with my wife and our two daughters.I am proud that my team and I received numerous awards for our communications achievements, including the “German Image Award 2006” and the “Media-Tenor Dax-Award” 2010. I was voted “Best Corporate Communications Officer” by German business media in 2007 and 2012 - again a great acknowledgement for the team and me and an incentive to keep up delivering outstanding, professional communication.
