Celebrating 70 Years of adidas
What better way to celebrate than to look back over 70 years of partnerships and how we continue to push the boundaries of innovation.
Three stripes, 70 years. When you want to know the future, start by exploring the history. Well, it’s been seven decades since adidas was founded in the small town of Herzogenaurach in Germany, so it’s time to look back at some of the moments that have helped to shape the brand into what it is today.
Throughout our relatively short history, we’ve welcomed icons like Run DMC and Missy Elliott, equipped athletes from Stan Smith to Lionel Messi and co-created with the likes of Pharrell and Stella McCartney.
We’ve made bold moves in innovation, design and the constant push for scalable sustainability. All of this shows not only where we’ve come from, but our ambitions for the future.
Here are just a handful of moments that have made us who we are today.
