I consider myself blessed to be able to work for a brand that lives at the convergence of the 3 things I’ve been passionate about since childhood: basketball, sneakers and hip hop. That said, my life has been an extended crash-course in “failing forward”. To propel my life, I had to give myself permission to fail in pursuit of the things I believe in.

“My philosophy for life is: If you know who you are, be who you are and permit yourself to fail. The key is to never give up on your goal.Jon Wexler, Senior Director of Entertainment and Influencer Marketing

Why and how to do this is what I talked about at TEDxPortland. What’s your biggest lesson you learned from a fail? Leave a comment and share your experience.

Fantastic post and Ted talk. People who fear failure or shy away from reaching beyond their comfort zones are missing out. Professionals need not rise to the top of their industry to learn this lesson. It is available to us every day.

Thanks for sharing this Jon, this is an essential lesson for success your pointing to here. I just found out a couple of days ago that fear of failing is my number block to reaching my dreams, then i came across this video today and I can relate. Im passionate about art, sneakers and hip hop and im trying to make a way to bring all these things together too, ive got a website on adidas sneakers (still a work in progress) im gonna post this video on. I now know the importance of failing forward on my journey, thanks for the reminder
