Compete against yourself and beat your personal best
Motivation, pushing boundaries, testing limits… What we do and why we do it is unique to who we are and where we’ve been.
Drive and determination are paramount to those who identify with achieving peak performance, both personally and professionally. Challenging ourselves to beat our personal best is found in tire flipping, lake swimming, switchback jogging, and 5:00am burpees. Often, these acts are done in isolation of others, because these acts of self-discipline are the gifts that we give ourselves to sort our thoughts, design new ideas, and simply push limits that are uniquely our own.
Choosing what we do to become our personal best requires digging deep, finding the sweet spot, and committing with unwavering force. We don’t need accolades or a nudge; we simply need to be in our zone to be our best. Just like sport is ageless and timeless, so are the people who invest time in being and beating their personal best.
Sport allows us to shine in our areas of expertise and appreciate the gifts of others. Moreover, we view the world without judgment or criticism. Sport opens doors and minds, and paves the way to achieving goals. “But I’m too old or too busy!” NONSENSE! It’s never too late to start an activity to push your boundaries. If you’re in a rut, tired, and worn out, get up and get moving. Find your passion and fall into it with wild abandon. Determine that you want to compete against yourself. Once you do that, an entirely new world will open before your eyes. You may be surprised at the results of your thoughts, your attitude, and your desire to do things that you’ve never thought possible. Sport, it’s everywhere. Make no excuses. Beat your personal best!
Let's make work life better through the power of sport.
