Who would not love to design their clothes to their own taste? Telling everyone that you wear shoes you designed yourself, wouldn´t that be great? Now, by launching the #miZXFLUX app, adidas has taken this idea of sneaker customization to a new level. The app enables anyone to just take a picture of anything that inspires them and to apply it to their own pair of ZX Flux. To celebrate this innovative approach with its employees, adidas organized a special event at the headquarters in Herzogenaurach. I checked it out for you!

For the launch of the app, the mi Studio Set-Up from Berlinwas brought to Herzo. Here, employees can experience how infinite the possibilities are. Not only can we play with iPads and try out different designs for the ZX Flux, but we can also order customized mi Stan Smith and mi Superstar 80’s classics.

When I went to the studio myself on Monday, I was surrounded by excitement, inspiration and curiosity. Everyone showed their pictures and was proud of their work and their ideas. On the adidas Group’s social intranet, employees are sharing their favorite designs, trying to win their own designed ZX Flux. The 30 designs with the most likes will be the lucky winners of the competition. So give your best everyone!!

The great thing about the unique outcomes is that it is not only an amazing product which looks good, but there is a story behind every design. Most people connect their chosen picture with a great moment in their life, an inspiring experience or something else they love. Hence, every pair of customized ZX Fluxhas a story to tell. Here are a couple of examples.

“Currywurst Friday is a tradition at adidas headquarter here in Herzo.” By James
“I am a big studio Ghibli fan.” By Ben
“Inspired from my Welsh heritage and pride.” By Adrian
“It showcases the feeling of being in love and loving the world.” By Anika
“Motivational words to stay concentrated in a basketball game.” By Sagar
“What comes from the soil goes back to the soil. But take your most glorious time.” By Zailong

When I downloaded the app I was totally surprised how easy it is to handle. The simplicity enables EVERYONE to use it! The innovative app provides the opportunity to create something special and meaningful. Nowadays, people search for uniqueness and try to be different. By using the app you can take an infinite number of shots before finding the perfect picture with which you can identify and stand out. The pictures vary a lot depending on taste, experience and style. You can see everything: a beautiful sunset, crazy patterns, skylines or funny faces. Consequently, there are a million different designs possible and the probability of bumping into someone on the street wearing the same pair of shoes is almost zero. Go ahead and download the #miZXFLUX app to get your own individual pair of shoes! Share your design with others and let your creativity run free.
